The Volturi believed her to be an immortal child, and came to kill her, and her family. Eventually, they realized their mistake, and left in peace.
Peace. Yeah, right. In a world of vampires and shapeshifters, peace never lasts.
The town of Forks, Washington is no exception. The Cullen family and the wolves of La Push may have put aside their differences and formed an alliance, but others are not so easily swayed to renounce their hatred.
The time of peace was short- the shortest day of the year, to be metaphorical. But the longest night- or the longest battle in the history of Forks- is just beginning.
