The dim lite sun behind the clouds made the whole of New York come alive in Callie's eyes. People who looked dull were now shining in her pale eyes. Her hand bag was hung on her shoulder and she looked around to find somewhere to lounge...be normal. Normal, she chuckled softly at the thought.

She stepped out and saw the entrance to the Channel Gardens. Looking over her shoulder, she looked to see a hot smelling guy walking down the sidewalk, but shook her head, knowing full well...Damn Human. The vines crawled in and out of the bushes with arranges of flowers popping in and out of leaves.

How I've missed you guys she thought with a smirk, her fingers touching the petals. Taking a small budding rose, she sat down on one of the benches and her fingers peeled back the petals. With everyone around you--how can you feel so alone?

Lex was very tired of being in the laboratory all day, that was killing him literately, he was testing some weapons on his own body, and his thoughts were: "if it hurt, then it works", sure how to kill a vampire if you don't know his weaknesses, and he perfectly knew his. So he took his jacket, it was cold outside so he needed to see normal in that way.

He stepped out in the elevator and went to walk, he took a taxi that left him near the Rockefeller center, he knew there was such a beautiful gardens there, and he would like to see them, the flowers and the gardens in all the green colors and smells made him always think of Anastasia, his dearly and beloved sister, he never loved someone as he loved her, he still remembered when he bury her body in the forest.

He walked trough a lot of different flowers, he was touching the petals of each one, so soft, so warm for him, and then he saw a silhouette, blonde wavy hair, every time he saw that kind of hair he thought of Quinn, his only friend, a young and beautiful girl that stayed with Anastasia and him in every moment, even in Anastasia's funeral, she was the only one there, besides a dead body with a fake life. Me.

Nibbling on her lip, she scrolled through her cell, but nothing caught her eye not even Mr.D's number, but she wasn't going to waste her time on that bird anymore. Get a grip Callie, it wasn't that big of a deal. Shaking her head, she managed to look up and see someone near the bushes.

"Um, Hello?" Callie raised her eyebrows, pushing her hair out of her face. She wasn't sure if this would be stalker numer 4 or just some guy innocelty walking about, but with a slight glance she managed to see his face. She intook a sharp breath and the sudden wave of deja vu over took her. I know him she thought, putting her phone in her bag. How.

She turned her face to him, and there she was, the girl he was thinking about 5 seconds ago, the girl who lived with him in his childhood, the girl that died about 106 years ago. A face he would never forget trough the time.
He felt how she was paralized by the surprise too, and he tried to hear something in her, and he didnt hear a thing, her heart, wasnt there anymore, a flashbacks and flashes of ideas ran though lex's mind, what happened to her when he left? lots of regrets came to him, he shouldnt have run, but he knew he would scare her with his new nature, plus he didnt had the strenght to stay close to a human in that time, they needed distance.

"Quinn!", what happened to you? Did he touched you? his only thought were those, maybe rasputin did something to her, so she wouldnt advice or protect anastasia, but how was that possible? if she wasnt Quinn, who she was? and why she didnt had a heart?.

At the sound of that name, her mind suddenly turned fuzzy. Quinn? Whose Quinn... I'm Quinn, no...no I am Callie, "Callie Monmair" She shook her head of the static and held her hand out for him to kiss, bu realized what she was doing and drew her hand back sharply.

"Look, I'm sorry--but--" she wanted to say something cruel, but his face, DAMN where do I know him. "I'm not who you think I am, sorry" She looked down at the rose and threw it down to the ground. Don't buy into his crazziness.

Lex was furious inside just to think about that man hurting someone he loved, he did it with his sister, what more could he ask for? a friend too?, no way impossible!, he nodded trying to think clever and focus on the idea of himself killing him that day. But this girl said another name, not very familiar 'Callie Monmair' but how familiar was her atempt to make him kiss her hand, and for sure he was about to kiss it, but she drew her hand back, she didnt even let him take a breathe.

She seemed confused too, what was happening? if she wasnt that girl he knew, who was she? yes yes i know callie monmair, but a Vampire? she?
"Look, I'm sorry--but--I'm not who you think I am, sorry" lex nodded and then he just walked toward her, and took her hand, it was cold as his, he raised his gaze at her, and said quite softly "Im sorry, But you look very familiar to me, Callie" he smiled.

His cool touch would have chilled if she was still human, but she felt strangely comfortable with him. She bowed her head to him in a way she wasn't sure why and then fluttered her eyes. "I think I now you too. Did you go to the parthenon a few years ago or something"

Mostly something she thought with a small shrugs.Who the hell is this guy...wait. "and you are?" she asked, putting her bag on her arm. Something was off about this guy, she couldn't place it not even a thought on it, yet she knew.

"I think I know you too. Did you go to the parthenon a few years ago or something" lex chuckled, he was a professor of history years ago, but he never went to the parthenon, oxford was one of his best shots as a teacher. 'No, i dont think so, the parthenon doesnt sounds familiar to me' he thought for a minute, trying to think in a clever idea of what was happening.

"and you are?" he smiled and then apologized "im sorry, im Lex" he said trying to hide hiw real name, but something in her gave him such a really trust, so he nodded and then kissed her hand "im Alexei Romanov". He raised his gaze to her and smiled trying not to scare her.

Callie felt her hand raised to his lips and she mearly smiled at this, as if it was a old costum she was so use to. A small fall breeze lifted the petals and started to swirl them around her. Her hair curled on her shoulder and she smiled at this new found stranger.

"Lex Romanov?" she asked taking her hand back. She pulled her sleeves to cover her cool hands and pulled her hair behind her ear. Huh, no wonder it sounds familar. For some reason, Russian History was the only thing hat kept her awake in Mr. Thorne's class. Thr Romanov's...they were the royal family or something of Russia and then...well Snap, Crackle, and Pop they were murdered. "Interesting name, Russian, yes?" She asked with a sly smile.

"Lex Romanov?" she asked taking her hand back. He felt proud of that name, carry on with a cursed family wasnt the best part of it, the best part was that he had it all, but healthy, and that made him learn the lesson better than anyone, besides he always felt very familiar, he loved his father and his mother, he was the expected Romanov Son. "Yes, thats me" he said with a shy smile and then watched her sleeves covering her hands, why whould she be feeling cold if she wasnt alive at all? that made him chuckle an instant to later get back to the reality of her question.
"Interesting name, Russian, yes?" "Its more Russian than te russian dolls" he said with a smirk, those funny russian dolls always scared him when he was a kid, in the palace there was so many of those, his 4 sisters used to collection them, so creepy.
"Your feeling cold?" he suddenly asked alil bit worried about her wearing a dress in a cold night, so he took off his gabardine and covered her shoulds and back with it. He did a sound with his mouth like ummm and then he smiled saying a "better".

Her frown turned into a warm smile when she felt his coat around her, a old famailar feeling. Her hands tugged it to cover the front of her body and she smiled up to him. He has a nice smile, she thought. "So--" She thought aloud, trying to start a conversation. "What are you doing roaming around at night?"

She clicked her shoes together, watching him. She knew she knew him, but how--Obviously wasn't a student or a teacher or --he could have been the other option, but she wouldn't have the feeling of liking this guy even if he was that good on the sheets.

Lex smiled, what brought him to the night? well he just felt a kind of necesity of get away from a laboratory designed to kill his own kind, but he obviously could not say that, he could scare her, so he just improve "The night is a very good friend, when you dont want to be found" he replied with a shy smile, what he said was truth, maybe he didnt wanted to be found, he was very happy being an unkown person.

"And whats your excuse?" he said with a tone of voice that clearly said c'mon my answer wasnt that great, beat me with one slowly he started to walk around the garden waiting for a good excuse, or maybe the truth, why not?

She nodded to his words and on instinct, took his arm and lead him with her down the labrynith. "And whats your excuse?" She bit her lip wondering herself. Due to what she had become, these nights became...uneventful and there were lots of them. She turned her head and gazed up, "Loniless" Squeezing his arm, she looked around only seen the tall green bushes and twirled ivy.

She stopped at the cornor and nudged him. "I know you know me and I know I know you--Tell me why" She fluttered her eyes looking at the ground. She had her deal with weird and this, whatever it was fell into that catergory.
