Sydney looked at the woman. She had heard about them on campus, and after paying more attention, she realized that she was one of those girls no one ever messed with. She put a smile on her face and answered her. "Um, I am majoring in performing arts and minoring in business. NYU is an amazing school. I would not have chosen another one ever in my life time. I love it here." She paused thinking for a moment, then realized she had asked another question. "No, I am not from here. I am from a small reservation in Washington."

Lilly saw Giola. She was silent while the two girls met eachother. "Hey Giola," She said, a smile spreading across her face. She always kind of likes Giola, even though she did not know her all that much. She knew Giola was a witch, of course she could tell. Lilly probably would not have known the girl if she was not one. "Yeah, i know, but I dont know anywhere with a cuter bartender," She said as he set another drink down for her. She did not get drunk easily, so she was just fine. "What are you doing here though?" She did not take Giola to be the type of girl to be hanging around hotel bars.

Gioia's eyes lit up as Sydney said that she was majoring in performing. If anything she liked to find young actresses for her grandparents to place in Broadway shows since they were considered some of the best Broadway producers of their time. She opened her Coach bag and pulled out her grandparents' card. She looked over at Sydeny. "Word of advice, it's all about connections." Her hand held the card as she reached to give it to the college student. "My grandparents are respected Broadway producers and if you are interested, I'm sure they could help you out." She hoped that Sydney would take it.
As Lilly spoke Gioia drew her attention over to her. She smiled and tilted her head to the left. "Picked up a contract from an agent for my grandmother. She wants this new Broadway star on her latest show she is producing. And well she's now signed on as the lead." Her blue eyes darted around the bar looking for the agent that she came here to meet up with. He had already left. Otherwise she would have pointed him out. Her smile came back when the bartender put down her drink in front of her.
After taking a sip she turned her attention back to Sydney. A small reservation in Washington? The thought made Gioia's mind run like crazy. She couldn't imagine living somewhere that wasn't a city. But that was only because she grew up in the rush of the city and that was her heartbeat. "Long way from home. Must have been an adjustment."

Sydney took the card a little startled. "Ummm, yeah. I have heard that once or twice, but thank you. That is amazingly kind of you." She looked around for a moment seeing if there was anyone there that Gioia might be looking for. "Well, not really." Sydney responded looking back at Gioia. "I have always wanted to come to a city. I would spend all my time in the bigger cities in Washington. So I was pretty much used to it. Not much of a change at all." Sydney smiled a little thinking of all of her friends back home, then thought how much they wanted her out here and that made her smile a little more.

Gioia gave the Sydney a smile. "Not a problem, just wanting to help everyone out. If Paul was still here, the agent that I picked up the contract from I'd introduce you to him but I guess he high tailed it after I got the contract." She took another sip of her drink. It seemed to be hitting the spot quite nicely, maybe even later she might go get that pair of shoes sitting in the window over on 5th avenue. Knowing her she would find her way to get those shoes one way or another. She dismissed the thought of the shoes and turned her attention back to Sydney. "See city girls always know that they are city girls in their heart. It's like a calling or something. I spent a weekend in upstate New York once and I almost went insane from being so far away from everything. It's like you always know that you are suppose to be a city girl." The talk about Washington made Gioia's curious. She remembered studying it in school once and how it's weather was very different from the weather in New York. "I've heard that in Washington it's rare for sun to come out. That's it is mainly overcast all the time." A place without sunny days sounded so mysterious when she was studying. Although she would never visit it, she could learn from Sydney exactly what it would be like since she had lived there.

Sydney let out a small laugh. There was no way the weather here was anything like the weather in Washington. There is nothing like the sun here or in L.A. Yeah, there is like never a sunny day in Washington. It is always raining. And I mean rain. There is like never snow either. If it does rain, it only lasts a little while. There is a never ending thing to the rain there. Sydney stopped herself. She was rambling. Again. There was never a stop to her rambling sometimes. It had always annoyed her mother.

"Sounds like that child's song the 'rain rain go away come again another day' minus the fact it always seems to come back." Gioia tried to throw in just a little joke. She knew it wasn't the best but at least it was something. Joking just wasn't a thing that came second nature to her. If she was flirting she could come up with something witty but usually with girls her wittiness was turned off. Taking another sip of her drink, her mind wondered. She thought about what it would be like to leave her grandparents. All that stability and love and financial flow gone. That would be the biggest adjustment for Gioia. She looked over at Sydney. "You miss your family and friends back there? I bet it must be hard not being near them. I know I would miss my grandparents terribly."

Sydney thought she could let her mind wander for a little bit, so she did. As soon as she did though, Gioia had begun talking to her again. "Uhhm, yeah, kinda. You get used to the rain. And I do miss them, terribly, but we talk on the phone all the time, the younger ones send me letters, and I get pictures of everyone in the letters, so sometimes, I look at my mantle and feel like I never left home. So, I don't think I would change any of it. She paused for a moment. Smiling at the thought of her family. But, they are coming up next weekend, so I don't have to miss them much longer.

She watched them from the bar, her cold deep, crimson eyes taking in all of them, sizing them up. Two witches and a shifter. What luck. She always enjoyed seeing others around. It was interesting to her, to see them pretending. She didn't pretend. Pretenders like the Volturi made her sick. They should be purged from the world, she decided. Taking a delicate sip from her absinthe, which was pleasantly illegal, she watched them with her dark eyes, that seemed to take each one of them apart like pieces of a puzzle. Her eyes were clever, sharp, always formulating, always trying to figure out her opponent. After all, life is nothing more than a constant game of chess. If anything, that was all the Volturi, and her ex-husband Aro, had taught her. The world was owned by people who knew which pieces to move and how to outsmart their opponent. She approuched them quietly, with a bright smile on her face. "Do exscuse me,"She said, taking another sip. "But do some of you attend the Parthenon?"--- Clothing:www.polyvore.com/night_out/set?id=16019165

Sydney was startled by yet another woman arriving into the group. Sydney was happy about this subject though. There was never a time when she didn't want to talk about school. She was good at it, so she loved talking about it. "Uhhmm, no. I don't attend the Parthenon"She looked from Lilly to Gioia then back to the woman. "Well, I don't know about Lilly or Gioia though."She smiled thinking about how everything might turn out. She just might be able to do more than hang around the dorm and study her brains out this semester, she might have friends to hang out with.

Gioia let out a smile to Sydney. "Well that's good. At least you still get to see them and they get to come to New York. After all it's the city of dreams." Maybe it wasn't so bad running errands for her grandmother after all. Besides those shoes in the window had waited a good week now what was a couple more hours to those shoes anyway. As another young woman approached them, Gioia turned to her drink to finish it off. She hear her ask if any of them went to Parthenon. With the finishing swallow, she looked at the new girl who came up to them. "Yes I do, why?"

Lilly had been content with just watching the conversation between the two unfold as she sat in her stool, making eyes at the bar tender, who was fumbling all over the place. She should really stop toying with him. With a decided sigh, she turned away, after flashing him a smile, making sure he knew she still like dhim, but had to focus on her friends. She hated being mean to people.
She had not really been listening to the conversation, but as soon as she saw a woman with red hair, and oddly familiar crimson eyes, she was tuned in more than anything.
"Do exscuse me,"She said, taking another sip."But do some of you attend the Parthenon?"
Gioia answered her, Lilly could not shake the feeling that she had seen her eyes before. Somewhere, somewhere disturbing. She finally figured it out. The eyes that this woman had, were like the eyes of the vampire that she had set aflame the night that Ben had died. She had used her powers to set him on fire. It was the only time she had done it in front of anyone, and everyone had found out about her. Well, everyone who was there anyways.
She let her face go blank, then stuck a smile on it.
"matter of fact we do," She said, tucking a blond strand of hair behind her ear, smiling her trade mark Lilly smile. She would be fine, unless this woman tried anything, Lilly had lost one person in her life, and it was one person too many.

Tristan strolled into the Pierre hotel, in search of some fun. The kind of fun he had not had since he was attatched to two girls. He spied Lilly at the bar, sitting next to two girls, one he did not recognize, but the other was Gioia Henderson. One of the park Ave princesses. A smile grew on his face, a smile that had not been there for a long, long time.
He walked up to Lilly, and her group.
"Hello girls," He said, ordering a drink from the bartender, who glared at him as he rested his hand behind Lilly's back. The thing was, he and Lilly were just friends, not in a million years would he go there, one, she wouldnt let him,a nd two, he liked having a girl that he didnt want to get into her pants. "Gioia, right?" He said, smiling a little at her, right before he took a drink of his drink. Before it even got to his lips, two smells reached his nostrils. One that made him want to fight or flee, it smelled like danger. The other, it was a comforting smell, a familiar smell, it was a wolf. he looked to the pale woman who had come up to the group, she was the Vampire. Then he looked to the girl who he did not know. She was the shifter. he smiled a knowing smile at the girl, saluting her with his drink.

With a spun on her seat, Gioia turned towards the male voice she heard. "The one and only. You're Tristan right? I've heard about her." She paused for dramatic effect letting him wonder what she had heard. Let that mind wonder. "Of course all good nothing that bad." She took the finishing sip of her drink and looked over at the bartender. "Hey love, can I have a captain and coke please and thank you." Those pools of blue turned back to Tristan. "So what brings you to this hotel bar on this lovely day?"

Sydney had finally figured out the scent of the red-head woman then finger-pointed her. She met her when Rensemee was born. Almost five months before she came to NYU. She realized she might not recognize her because she wasn't in her wolf form. But that didn't mean she wouldn't recgnize her scent. Great. She thought. I'm in for it now. Then upon the first male finally joining the group, she realized at once that he was a shape-shifter too. Thank god. I'm not alone. She began to slowly let herself slip into nothing but thinking. After a moment, she remembered she was not alone at home or in class where thinking was good. She was with other people and she focused on what everyone was talking about listening to every word and detail. Man. The Parthenon comes up a lot among everyone. Must be an important school if the Volturi know about it.
