Leon put Callie's old trench coat on and led her back out of Our Lady of Thorns Pub. She stared into his eyes long enough to practicly blind herself. The Stage Manager, bratty little thing, mentioned that we should go on a date...get into our characters.
"Thanks, Leo," she kissed him lightly with a playful smirk. His cheeks merely tinted pink, though by now she figured he would use to the friendly attention. Allowing his arm to wrap around her waist, he guided her down the steps to the strangly calm New York sidewalk. "Not a bad idea, eh?" he questioned aloud, nudging her.
Letting out a gentle laugh, she agreed with a small nod. Then out of nowhere Leon hit his forhead and let go of her. "What is it?" she asked a hint of fear in her voice. "Its nothing, I just remembered I promised Gioia I would bring her something."
Callie patted his cheek and nodded. "You go do it. I'll grab a taxi." Leon just nodded sadly and kissed her once more. "I'm sorry. I'll talk to you tonight though." He turned with that and walked away till turning a cornor. With a sigh, she started to walk the other direction towards her apartment. The new york silence, cars in the distances and a animal calling only she could hear.
Her heels clicked against the cement creating a rhythm in her head. Humming softly, she distracted herself from the uneasy air until she heard something behind her. Tilting her head on her shoulder, she caught site of a figure walking steadily behind her. The iris of her eyes unintentional tinted red and then without warning she felt her feet running.
The air brushed past her and her senses were tuned to a point nothing could alter her perseption until something faster pushed her. Her feet lifted off the ground and her shoulder cracked against the brick wall. With a cry of pain she looked up into a pair of deep red eyes.
"Caleb?"
