- Was it right to move to New York? Was it right to leave everything behind? Just pick up and leave. Leave friends, family; and most of all, leave home. This question was always on Renesmee Cullen’s mind. She had been missing Forks for a long time. She never wanted to leave. She knew that once they did things would change. She was right. Everyone was so different. It was like the wonders of New York took over their brains or something. Nessie saw it for how it really was. For starters they could barely go out because unlike Forks it didn’t rain all the time and it was always overcast. The best time to actually get out was into the night air and by that time she was either too tired or just didn’t want to. Missing Forks wasn’t easy. That whys when Renesmee saw the opportunity to go home she jumped right on it. She had saved up quite a bit of money from working and various holidays such as birthdays and Christmas. She knew it was time to go home. It was time to just get out and think. Take some time to sort things out. Things didn’t seem to be going well with Jacob. He, too, had changed. He wasn’t the same boy she had fallen in love with so many years before. The city had taken him too. There was nothing left to really remind her of home. Except for the pictures, frozen memories on a piece of paper. But even they didn’t relieve the pain.
The plane ride from New York to Washington didn’t take long at all. Sure you might be wondering, why did a vampire take a plane? It was better than running. Plus Renesmee loved being on planes. Seeing the ground so far beneath her made her feel weightless and on top of the world. Within about an hour; Ness was off the plane, carrying her backpack, and hailing a taxi. The muggy air of Washington smelt wonderful. She had missed it. Sliding into the cab she muttered to the driver who ask her ‘Where to?’ “Outer Forks please.
With out noticing it, Renesmee's feet had carried her to her old house. It was so far back into the woods no one had noticed it or even bought the property. Leaves covered the drive a million times over. Nothing had been touched since they had left so long ago. Ness she stood and stared. That question still remained, was it right?
